2012 marks an exciting year for us at The Best Little Hair Salon in Rye. It was 15 years ago that we first stumbled upon this little space we call our “home away from home” and set our sights on turning it into, well . . . The Best Little Hair Salon in Rye!

Expert Service and a Name That Says It All. That was our original tagline . . . but truth be told, we aimed higher than that! After all, when you’re located in a toni locale like Rye, N.Y., with Manhattan just around the corner, the competition can be stiff. We wanted to offer big city expertise in a charming, warm environment. No pretense for us!

Over the years – all 15 of them! – we think we’ve done just that. We’ve earned a reputation as the area’s most trusted salon for corrective and creative color and precision haircutting, as well as nourishing hair and scalp treatments, smoothing treatments . . . and the list goes on.

It’s been a fantastically fun . . . and wonderfully rewarding . . . 15 years. We’ve gotten to know so many amazing people and have loved the role we’ve played in helping them define their sense of beauty and style.

Our clients come from as nearby as down the street and around the corner, and as far away as Manhattan, Connecticut and the far-flung regions of Westchester County. (Some have moved far, far away, but still manage to stop by when they’re back in town.)

Yes. We loved your laid-back, beachy vibe and embraced your oh-so-cool look of breezy sundresses, faded cut-offs and cotton t's. We wore our hair up, or back, or tucked behind our ears, and let your hot sunny rays kiss our vibrant tresses into slightly fried, faded crowns of glory.

It's true . . . April showers do bring May flowers. The daffodils and tulips are popping just outside our door. It's a season of change and beauty!

Whether you're planning holiday festivities or feel like a January pick-me-up, you'll want to take advantage of our December and January specials. They're a great way to celebrate the season and welcome the New Year!

The salon will be open throughout the season, with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's Day and an early closing on New Year's Eve. In addition, Diane will be on vacation Friday, December 31 through Saturday, January 8, returning on Tuesday, January 11.

The countdown is on . . . Only seven days until it's time to gather with family and friends around a table laden with turkey, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie and express our thanks for the blessings laid out before us.

In honor of the holiday, we'd like to take the opportunity to wish all the best to you and your family. We'd also like to remind you of our November blowdry special -- $35 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the remainder of the month. What a great way to relax a little before the festivities and make sure you look your absolute best!

The salon will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will reopen the following day, Friday, November 26.
